Classic Cheese Ball Recipe

Classic Cheese Ball has been making folks happy for generations. So let’s whip one up, friend!

Make sure the cream cheese is at room temp, then it all comes together very quickly.

Mixing the ingredients (everything but the pecans) is super easy with a stand mixer, but you could also use a wooden spoon and a little elbow grease!

Classic Cheese Ball Recipe

Take about a cup of good quality pecans and chop them up so they aren’t too coarse, but still have some pecan chunks.

Then after forming the cheese mixture into a ball, spread the chopped pecans on parchment or wax paper, and roll the ball around until it’s covered in pecans!

Which brand of smoked paprika did you use?

Hi Rosario, I’ve used many different brands over the years. McCormick’s makes a nice version and it’s not as expensive as other brands. Spice Hunter is good, too. Let us know if you make the cheese ball and what you think. We’re making for Christmas Eve this year!! Merry Christmas!

Great for holidays easy to make
We have one every year now. I had to create a Christmas dinner a few years back when the wife was getting over hart surgery. This cheese ball was a big hit with the family.

I love this cheese all! It’s a crowd pleaser for sure, and relatively easy to make. My husband doesn’t like nuts so I sometimes make it into 2 smaller “sister” cheese balls. Thanks for sharing, I come back to the site every time I have an event.

We’re doing quarantine with cocktails here in Philly 🙂 … I did add some fresh chili paste w/ garlic because I wanted to bring a little extra heat. Great recipe will be making again once dinner parties don’t incur fines, lol.

If this cheese ball were made few days before 31st December, would it stay as it is? As I have a party on 31st and had left some cheese ball to use in party, but I don’t know if it’s still good or not.
